Maple Roasted Pecans Feature

Maple Roasted Pecans

This maple roasted pecans recipe only requires four ingredients, five minutes of prep and ten minutes of bake time. So simple! They make for a great snack during the Christmas season too.

I have also made them for Christmas gifts to give to my clients. Double or triple the recipe, divide them into mason jars and add a festive ribbon. Voila! Homemade Christmas gifts are a pretty special way to speak from one heart to another.

Did you know that maple syrup was first made by the indigenous people in North America? When the Europeans moved to Canada, they refined production. Quebec is now the world’s biggest producer of maple syrup.

Roasted pecans are also thought to originate from the indigenous people in North America, around the southern region of the United States. They did not spoil easily and took up little space, making them a great food to carry while travelling.

Adding maple syrup to roasted pecans is a great way to make a healthy snack that tastes like candy. The only problem is pecans are high in calories due to their natural, healthy fat content. It’s hard to only eat one palmful, which is the proper serving size.

Regardless, maple roasted pecans are delightful. The recipe is so quick and easy, making it perfect for those last-minute party snacks during the festive season.
