TransRockies Training Plans
This collection of training plans is built to support TransRockies events, including 3-day MTB stage races, 100 km gravel distances, and half marathon trail runs. Most plans take a holistic approach, combining structured training with strength, nutrition, and wellness guidance. All plans include email support.
As the partnership between GO FIT LIFE and TransRockies continues to grow, more training plans will be released throughout 2026 and 2027 to support a wider range of events and distances. View all available plans in my store on TrainingPeaks.

Complete 3-Day MTB Stage Race Plan
Intermediate to age-group competitive 24-week full periodization plan. Includes all training phases: Prep → Base → Build → Race
This plan is HR-based using lactate threshold zones. Can be used inside TrainingPeaks Virtual as it converts HR to FTP. Additional elements include strength, nutrition and wellness guides.

Masters 3-Day MTB Stage Race Plan
Intermediate to age-group competitive 14-week build to race day plan. Also includes a post-race recovery week.
This plan is HR-based using lactate threshold zones. Can be used inside TrainingPeaks Virtual as it converts HR to FTP. Additional elements include strength, nutrition and wellness guides.

100k Masters Gravel Race Plan
Intermediate to age-group competitive 8-week plan to race day training plan. Includes Build phases, taper and race week.
This plan is power-based and can be used in TrainingPeaks Virtual, Zwift, TrainerRoad, etc. Additional elements include strength, nutrition and wellness guides.
Great for the following TransRockies Races:
- Desert Gravel
- Moab Gravel Fondo
- The Range

Beginner Half Marathon Plan
Complete beginner or non-competitive Masters 20-week to race day training plan. Includes a gentle progressive build from 3k.
This plan is based on MaxHR so athletes do not need to do lactate threshold testing. Additional elements include strength, nutrition and wellness guides.

GO FIT LIFE launched in 2012, though I started coaching in 1999. I’ve worked with over 4000 people and hundreds of endurance athletes, backed by decades of education and real coaching experience.
I’m also a lifestyle endurance athlete, with a big history in running and triathlon racing but now drawn to MTB, CX, gravel, and trail running. I enjoy fat biking and snowboarding in the winter.
