I’ve been coaching for over 25 years, and when I say that out loud, it sounds both wild and wonderful. This truly has been a journey of not only professional growth, but personal too. I feel that I was born for this. Over time, that feeling only grew stronger.
In 1999, I first started as a volunteer personal trainer at my local YMCA. A year later, I decided to become a group fitness instructor too. Next thing, I had a part-time paid gig working at a small gym in Lunenburg doing both fitness classes and personal training.
A few years later, in 2006, I joined the Bridgewater Triathlon Club and became hooked. This led me to a deep dive into endurance sports, and in 2009 I became an NCCP certified triathlon coach. Since then, I’ve also acquired a PMBIA certification for mountain biking and CASI certification for snowboarding.
Coaching Journey & Experience
Since then, and over the past 25 years, I’ve helped over 4000 people build strength, endurance, and health. I’ve also helped hundreds of endurance athletes compete in single-day to multi-day events. Together, we’ve built strength, endurance, and confidence. It’s been a beautiful experience, one that makes me feel proud and fills my heart with so much joy.
I’m still an athlete, having transitioned from triathlon to mountain biking. But I enjoy variety, so since 2006 when I did my first race, I’ve raced everything from sprint triathlons to the ironman distance, completed 5ks to full marathons, done multiple single-day to multi-day MTB stage races, and for several years I raced cyclocross every season. Currently, I’m learning to ride park and enduro and hope to compete in an enduro race in the future.
Through it all, I learned what it really takes to train hard, stay consistent, and still have a life outside the sport. My own journey wasn’t smooth. At one point, I was a single mom juggling university, a career in management, a home, and training to compete in long-distance triathlons and running. This experience taught me a great deal on how to coach people through real life.
Coaching Philosophy & Approach
As a result, I combine all that experience in my coaching brand, GO FIT LIFE, where I help athletes train smarter with purpose, balance, and a dose of grit. My approach blends endurance, strength, and wellness because performance doesn’t come from just one thing. It’s the whole picture: mind, body, and lifestyle. And you have to consider life outside sport. Figuring out how to make it all work with a busy schedule is an art in itself. My clients appreciate it so much.
When I’m not coaching or training, outside of work, you’ll probably find me on my mountain bike, trail running, hiking, on the water or snowboarding, fat biking, and snowshoeing when the snow hits. I live full-time in an RV with my partner, chasing adventure, good health, and freedom.
Below, you will find a list of my credentials and all that jazz. It’s not fully inclusive, as I’m always taking a course on the side to keep my certifications up-to-date and expand my knowledge. Currently, I’m working on my TrainingPeaks Level 2 certification. There’s always something new to learn, right?

Where Else to Find Me?
I’m a digital minimalist, so the only social channel I have is YouTube, which I use to provide workouts and education for my followers. I like to write (published author) and prefer to create resources and provide them on my website for people to use. Therefore, you can find me in these spaces:
Website blog for training guides, tips, and recipes
YouTube channel for strength & mobility workouts
TrainingPeaks plans for self-coached endurance athletes
As mentioned above, I am a published author too. While it’s not about fitness, you might find it interesting. I have misophonia, a severe selective sound sensitivity disorder. I share what it’s been like to live a life with misophonia in a raw and real way. It’s published on Amazon worldwide. You can find that HERE.
If you made it this far, huge thanks for taking the time to learn about me. If you have any questions or comments, please send me a message or post in the comments below.
