4 Motivation Strategies to Make Things Happen

4 Motivational Strategies to Make Things Happen

Motivation is something you FEEL. It comes from a trigger that you are connected to emotionally.

When you hear a good song, you feel like dancing.

When you smell yummy food, you feel like eating.

When you see someone exercising, you feel like exercising too.

There is a positive emotional connection to these things that you hear, smell and see that drives you to want to take action.

When you feel that you are lacking motivation, the solution would be to put triggers in place to create a positive emotional response for you to get the push you need to follow through.

For example, a healthy meal plan designed with easy recipes can motivate you to eat better throughout the week.

A manageable training plan that jives with your work-life schedule can motivate you to be consistent with your workouts.

Even things as simple as a pair of colourful socks, an inspiring quote on your wall, or a cozy organized fitness space in your home are triggers that you set up to motivate you. The ideas are endless.

The key is to find what will empower you the most to follow through. It HAS to be meaningful and it is definitely personal.

Being mindful of things motivates you to take action and then incorporating them into your daily life can be a game-changer for following through.

Not enough people take the time to do this and it’s one reason why they fail to reach their goals.

If this sounds like you, try these 4 motivational strategies. Practice them. It’s okay if you don’t get it right this first time. Change requires adjustments.

If you use these strategies, let me know how it goes.
