My EPIC Dartmouth Journey – The 20th Week

As much as I want to write a training story explaining how FREAKIN INCREDIBLE my training this week has been, I cannot do this right now. However, I will say on Sunday, when I was finishing off my final few steps, the final few minutes of an 18+ hour training week, I had tears of joy in my eyes as I tuned into how amazing I felt. No pain…no limping…no exhaustion…no struggling to finish…not even dehydrated…just trembling with pure happy positive energy. On the weekend alone I completed 8 hours of training (3.5 on Sat, 4.5 on Sun). As I stretched my muscles on my deck, looking out over beautiful Rose Bay beach, I thought of how lucky I am to be able to do something like this. I am grateful for everything, truly grateful. I pray to God that I never lose this feeling. So now I must say peace out my friends. I gotta go plan for another crazy busy fun-filled week – week 21. 118 days to go to race day!
